Welcome to the spot4news.com news search engine!

You have arrived at the spot4news.com news search engine, and I'm your host, Spot the news hound. This web site is the home of stories that my assistant and I find and post for all to read -- all the news that's fit to print, as they say. Most of it comes from thousands of sources around the world, but some stories are originals generated by us.

Now, I know what you must be thinking--"Why would I need to frequent a news search engine headed by a Jack Russell Terrier? Sure, he's cute, but when he's forced to make a decision between posting a hot news story and chewing on a Milk Bone or chasing his squeaky toy, what will his priority be? Does he have a nose for news?"

Good questions all. Let me assure you that I have a very capable assistant who has more than two decades experience in newsgathering, and several years experience in administering news Web sites. He comes in rather handy, since I don't have any, and therefore, it's rather difficult for me to type HTML code or even hit the send key to retrieve background information on the Web. I'm much better at other kinds of retrieving.

You may also be asking, what's to keep this useful assistant loyal and focused on the task at hand? Well, let me just say that I don't think I need to tell you who wags the tail in this relationship. And I'll leave it at that.

Doggone it, I hope you'll visit us often for frequent updates!

Posted By metavirus 6 hours, 28 minutes ago in Political Opinion > Sit back and ponder what belief systems drive the fringes of wingnuttia? Palin's Dereliction of Duty
Knowing that many, many conservatives will absolutely dump on me for saying this, I can't help myself: Sarah Palin's resignation is an appalling dereliction of duty and a highly cynical move to set herself up for a presidental run for which she is manifestly unqualified.
