What is the official symbol of Halloween? Some people would say it would be the creepy cobweb that dots any haunted house or Gothic castle that you'll ever see. Other people would say it's Dracula or his host of blood-sucking menaces. And others would say the witches that ride on broomsticks and cast evil spells on everyone. All these may have points but it's undeniable that very few things have been as iconic when it comes to the the Halloween season than the lowly pumpkin. You'd be hard-pressed to find a Halloween celebration that doesn't have at least drawings of pumpkins on their walls.
So what can you do with the traditional pumpkin imagery come that special day? One of the best ideas you can do is to create pumpkin faces to adorn your walls. If you can find some pumpkin patterns on the Internet, it would be great but it's much better if you could make your own. What better way to put your creativity to the test than to create all those patterns for several types of pumpkin images? Trust me, you'll be even prouder of yourself afterwards.
You're gonna be needing card stock in three different colors if you're planning to make a really unbelievable pumpkin face from simple materials. Most preferably in green, orange and yellow, these are the natural colors of pumpkins (with orange being the most popular and celebrated). Yellow is an excellent color to use for facial features such as eyes, mouths, and noses. Green on the other hand is a really cool color to use for stems and leaves. With these three basic colors and with the addition of some great colors like browns, maroons or blacks, you're bound to create some really mean looking pumpkin faces!
